Overview

AGORA is a Professional Construction Project Management and Cost Consulting firm with an operational footprint that covers South Africa, the wider African continent, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East.

Our dynamic firm has become synonymous with excellence in both our Project Management and Quantity Surveying Service Offering and the synergy which the combination provides.

We optimise time, value and cost on construction related projects by developing the required financial systems in using our quantity surveying expertise to advise, manage and execute our clients' projects, developments and/or property investments. We provide a full service, from the inception and development planning phase through to the execution and ultimately successful completion of the project/development.

AGORA can accurately and reliably advise clients on construction projects and property related investments with great LOCAL knowledge in various countries on the African, European and Middle Eastern continents.

AGORA's head office is situated in Pretoria and was founded by Oostewald van Niekerk and Frederich van Niekerk. Nobuhle Makwakwa, partner and Executive Director is continuously expanding our local market share through her invaluable attributes to the business, underpinning our company ETHOS.

AGORA Outpost signifies us in EUROPE with local office in Belgrade, Serbia, and is represented by our LOCAL Partner and Director, Mark Overton. Our reach in the UNITED ARAB of EMIRATES is emphasised by the LOCAL expertise of André du Preez, as Director and Partner, representing our LOCAL office in Dubai (UAE).

In ongoing commitment to long term sustainable relationships, excellence and precise service towards our clients, our directors are actively and directly involved on each project, and we follow a dual director involvement approach, especially on major or high-risk projects.

Management Team

The AGORA Group's founding members and directors, Frederich van Niekerk and Oostewald van Niekerk are both directly involved in the management of the company and the projects which they are appointed for. Clients liaise directly with an AGORA Director on any development or project, ensuring comfort and full control over decision-making.

Nobuhle Makwakwa, partner and Executive Director, is continually expanding our market share through her invaluable contributions to the business, underpinning our company ETHOS. MC Pelser, our Projects Director, focuses on technical project planning, execution and handover strategies. Leon Fowler's role as Projects Director involves providing strategic direction, ensuring project success and maintaining high standards of quality in the field of quantity surveying. Executive Director Mark Overton leads the European Office, while André du Preez, Managing Director, has the principal purpose of maintaining and establishing new market share in the Middle East. The management team extends its operational emphasis with Associate Director JP van Rensburg, ensuring structured operations and quality management. Associate Heinrich Erasmus plays a crucial role in reinforcing our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.
